Dashevsky, Pinkhas Izrailevich (1879-1934?)

Student at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute, Zionist. In June, 1903 he slightly wounded P. Krushevan, publisher of the newspaper "Bessarabets", who was guilty of instigating the Kishinev pogrom. Sentenced by the St. Petersburg district court to 5 years in prison, he was paroled in 1906 thanks to the petition by O. Gruzenberg. During the Soviet period he was arrested as a Zionist and died in a labor camp.
